I should know, I buy enough of them.
Although Texas has some of his products I can't find in TN.

We bought some yesterday at Payless (part of Kroger stores here in Indiana). Haven't tried it yet since the Wife just fixed ribs with Sweet Baby Ray's. She'll probably fix more in a week or so, then we'll try Stubbs.

Outside of Dreamland's sauce, which I think is only available around here, Stubbs is the hands down best sauce on the grocery store shelf, in my opinion.

+1, hands down. I sometimes mix 50/50 the regular and the spicy.

It wouldn't be so much effective today. Too much CGI would be a distraction from the real story.

They would completely screw it up if they tried to remake it today. It would just be another torture porn/gorenography fest, and would completely miss the point of the original.

Even more bothersome is how many of today's audience wouldn't even get the point, even if they saw the original......that it's not too cool to be a greedy, scheming gold digger with the mindset that those differently abled (or raced or creeded or persuaded....you get my point) are somewhat less than herself.

Sadly, you're probably right. And I think most of 'em would see Schlitze, Johnny Eck, Prince Randian, and the others, and think, "They can't be real. How did they do that?" :eusa_doh:
