I certainly wouldn't turn down an invite. I haven't had a vacation in eight years...
I sincerely will give you a place there if you continue to desire to take my offer up. I will see if I have any pictures on my puter here to give you an idea of how nice it is there and a peek at some of my friends that are there as well. We have so much fun, at times and are laughing so much, literally, we walk away from the crowd so we can have the time to compose ourselves and recover from having splitting side aches from the laughter. I do one thing as a tradition that is a blast, I have a "fake" fortune teller come and tell fortunes for everyone. You should see the look on someone's face when they are told "it is seen in your future that which you stir will surprise you" and I already have a drink set up for them with a Lizard in the glass! We do things to have fun. I could write a book about the past years as it is, the things we have enjoyed. Yes I am sure I do have some pictures some place, I will post them later.

Sounds like a lot of fun. The lizard in a drink wouldn't upset me at all...I'd be tempted to bring the thing home though.
We have fun, and for me, to be be able to host a variety of things to do, if those that want to participate in those things, just adds to the enjoyment.

There are some friends I have that live there all year, and they always seem to help come up with things for everyone to do.

St. Croix is a nice place, the water is warm, the way most people are there is very friendly, and it is less "commercialized" than some of the other places you could go to, like Hawaii, or Jamaica. In fact I have always made the true statement about Hawaii, it is a beautiful place also to visit, but be ready to bring a fat wallet, they know how to charge for anything you wish to buy, even a $35.00 pineapple, or a pair of dollar store sunglasses for $50.00 a pop!

Beardies or water?

Beardies :) Meet Zelda, the big one, and Suzy, the little one (this was taken 3 years ago, so Suze is bigger now.)

Awww. Cute girls. A buddy of mine helps with the local beardie rescue and I'd love to, but I seem to have offended the great dragons somehow. Not sure why, but any male who sees me immediately starts bobbing and acting aggressive. It's wierd.

I do however have a Dumeril's boa.

They say even pets can tell good people from bad...so it is a no brainer to me why they start bobbing! They are saying hello to you!

Thanks :) Mine puff up and show me their tongues all the time, and I'm their human! Zelda has always been weirdly aggressive for a female, and started bobbing her head like a male after I introduced her to Suzy. Then, when Suzy got a bit bigger, she decided she wanted a slice of the dominance pie and started biting at Zelda's head, like a male does when they want to mate! They are both definitely females, but they behave so strangely!

Do you have a picture of your boa? That species has the most amazing markings. They remind me of Jesters.

Well having a pet like that has to be easier than the dogs and cats I have in my home.

Somewhat! They stay in one place and don't make any sounds (they're incapable.) But you have to keep them well fed, otherwise their habitat will become like the Donner party if you have more than one together. I have a cat, too, and have owned many dogs, and I'll tell you that cleaning up after a sick dog or cat is a whole lot more pleasant than a sick reptile...

Wow, I did not know that! Is it due to needing micro sized "pooper scoopers"?

Thanks everyone for the kind words and thank you to A.C. Lyles for offering to pay for my mani/pedis lol

Okay deep breath....

I seriously thought about leaving the FL today. It's the very first time I've felt that way. I'm a very sensitive person and my feelings were hurt and I was angry. I know that there are people here that don't like me and that's fine. I can't please everyone.

Since I joined the FL almost a year ago, I have been nice to everyone for the most part and tried to be a contribution to this wonderful place. It would break my heart to leave, so I will stay for now, but I'm still hurt and it'll take awhile for me to get over it.
