Very nice PN - no jacket by ELMC fits me since I need a 27 back length. Even a long in a 42 is just shy of 26 inches.
Jacket looks great, all I know. But that dude looks like a cross between Tom Selleck and Tommy Wiseau.

If you take their short styles (I believe PN hss them all) and add a 27" long back then those jackets become something entirely different to what they are intended to be.

I'm not knocking mid length jackets, of course not. But vintage repros of short jacket styles (like MC Cross zips, or HBs such as the Californian) look awful when 3 more unnecessary inches of length is added. Why even entertain the idea of a vintage repro like these by ELMC if you don't like short jackets? You could just as easily buy something modern in the length you are comfortable with. Or if vintage is your vibe then a teamster or long halfbelt ought to suffice
Yet another admonition on proper jacket length.
More like the lovechild of Tom Selleck and Ron Jeremy.
With respect sir,, how did adding on extra inches to your Imoerial work out for you? That's rhetorical, we know the answer. And yet you still won't agree with what is such an obvious truism.
Classic vintage leather jackets are timeless because the guys who designed them were masters of their trade. Length is not just one factor,, it's paramount
OK, kids - keep it civil. You're all entitled to an opinion, whatever it may be, but we will keep a civil house!
There's no point in arguing with Ton's photos. Thread over.I'm not a tall fellow, 5'11" but I spec everything at 27". Sleeve and back...my belt is just covered that way.

This SB below was 26" and just too short to be comfortable in. Tiny little 1" makes a world of difference.

Sleeve and body length ha are personal and fit to taste. I believe a jacket can be ruined by being too long and too short. Everybody has a different number for just right. The drop front complicates things imo. I prefer the blunt cut across the hem for consistency across various patterns.
