gtd I don't know if there is anything here that can help your case but his first listing of that hat is 120357212874. He changed dimentions.

That does help Vic. That would be accurrate front to back is 7", side to side is 5.875, which comes to right at 20.3 circumference = 6 1/2. Measured inside the sweatband & got 20", outside around the crown is 22 3/4". All consistent with 6 1/2. Thanks for the pointer...

Nice one, Carter. I doubt i could pull off wearing a boater. It seems I'd look like I was canvassing for some politician. And I rarely if ever see them on folks. Let's see it on, eh? Then maybe I'll be inspired to try one myself!

Since I posted the entire exchange with the seller of the mismeasured Stetson Playboy, I wanted to show my OFAS feedback & his response. I did use Punk in last reply but I don't see any threats at all, right? Love the claim that I'm stating my head must have grown....

Thanks, gentlemen. I've been looking for a good boater and $46.00 for this one wasn't bad. I'm thinking a bit later in the year with seersucker. If only there were a regatta in Dallas. sigh

Brooks Bros Boater

Is that a blue and red ribbon? I still want one with a blue and red ribbon to use with blue seersucker. The ribbons on the two I have now are all black and black/red. I should probably get someone replace the all black ribbon with something that will go with the tan seersucker. I was really enjoying wearing both getups until the leaves turned.

This OR came in the mail today. Hat looks to be NOS. The 7X felt is not the same as 7X clear beaver but certainly holds it own with the Stetson 25. The shipping was slow but cheap can't argue with that

Be glad you didn't win that one. I exchanged several messages with the seller. I believe the size of that boater is either 7 1/8 or 7 1/4.
