I added another 50s Mode Edge to the collection. I couldn’t resist - I love these hats and the color on this one is very exciting. Before I could stop myself, I’d made a reasonable offer and the seller accepted.

Sigh. At least it was reasonable!

Now to buckle down and start Christmas shopping for other people!

Yep, I'm gonna have to get with the program. I placed a bid a while back on a stunning Resitol with their version of that same edge treatment but someone else liked it for a buck fiddy more than me, right at the last second.

Victory? Not sure.
I think this is a good deal at $115 after tax and shipping.
Premier modern Strats usually go for around $200 and then shipping and tax, right?
If not a good deal, I can use this as a quality hat body for a nice custom, Especially since it’s a huge size.
How do modern Stetson Premier felts stack up to their Royal Quality? Does anyone have at least a guess as to what the blend ratio is?
I never buy modern hats, so I have no idea.

Seller messaged me to say he canceled this purchase because he later found out shipping would be $41 and not $6.
So, still a victory. I certainly don’t need another hat of any kind, especially a modern one.
