Gee Whiz! After seeing the prices on all the hats that the men on this thread have won, I am lucky to be a woman. There is no way in the world I'm paying 200 or 300 bucks for a hat, with the exception of one time where the hat was just too good to pass up! Hahaha! As you can see, the majority of my hats are under 50 bucks, I had no idea that men's hats fetched such high prices. I would never have been able to build up my collection of hats if they were all going for the prices that the mens' hats go for.

You must have an interesting and fine hat collection. Do you find you wear a vintage hat frequently or mostly special occassions? I'm sure I speak for others as well...please post some pics of you wearing your hats when you get a chance. It's refreshing to see a lady post in this thread.

unusual Hopkins boater

I got this one. It's going to need a new sweatband, and I'm pretty unsure if the boater style will become me at all, but it looked like a sweet and interesting lid so I took the plunge.

Anyone have any idea about the possible age of the thing?

Ya know, I was wondering how come there were no other women posting in this thread, is this the men's section??

Anyway, I will post a pic of myself, this weekend maybe on Sunday, wearing one of my hats with a feather. I may as well use it for my avatar.

As Feraud already said, to me that seems like a fairly good deal for Dobbs 20 in a large size - I wouldn't be surprised to see a hat like that run waay past the 200 dollar mark.

My bid ways up around there, I expected to pay a lot ....and after winning a couple of twenties listed as 7 3/8-7 1/2 and having them turn out to be 7's , I was lusting after a 20 in my size pretty bad
