Just like those sellers who think that "Stetson" is just another name for "cowboy hat" and don't understand that Stetson is an actual brand name and you can't call every last cowboy hat a "Stetson" unless, you know, it was actually made by Stetson!

The Xs do go way back, at least to the early 1900s, I think even prior to that. If my memory serves me correct there has even been a late 1800s 4X bowler missed in an estate auction about 1 year ago.

Someone might have a link to that pic of the old logos or ads from way back to repost.

In this case old Sawinkur can’t even count the Xs... :)


I sit corrected. I'll try to keep that one without it getting lost in my gray matter somewhere.

I just bought my first Schoble. It's unreeded. I had it on my list for ages. I tried looking for info on it on the Lounge, but couldn't find out when Schoble closed. I will ask @alanfgag
