Rusty, is ligne a style of ribbon or a measurement of ribbon width? I do like the 3 part of whatever it is. The one I'm wearing only has 2 parts...

Ligne is a french word meaning line. An inch is approximately 16 lignes.

I've never seen a back-bow that I liked, but this Canadian Stetson is the first one that has interested me.

Looks remarkably similar to a straw champ I have. Same type of striped ribbon, flat top, and back bow. I like the felt finish on the stetson.

Vintage Stetson 3x "Back Bow" Brwn Fedora, Sz 7 3/8 LO that just closed but it isn't my size. I would like to know, if you wear a 7 1/2 can you stretch a 3/8ths? do 7 1/2 guys do that?

Try searching the words "stretch" or "stretching", as this topic has been well-covered. Here's one thread to get you started. I'm maintaining my position that I'm done stretching, because hats often shrink back down to size. Buy a hat that fits, then stretch it if it shrinks. Buy a hat that's too small, and it will probably always be too small. Others will disagree, but that's how I view it.
