I’ve found Matsuda at DH responds very quickly to emails and is super helpful. I provided my required measurements and he told me the stock size 44 with length adjustment would be best. He said he’d try to tweak the other stock measurements to hit my targets as they were close enough to stock to not warrant additional charges.

After dealing with other customer makers who can’t handle their inboxes professionally I’m very pleased.

I had the same pleasant experience dealing with Matsuda. He was incredibly responsive and helpful. I’ll definitely purchase from him again if I get another jacket at some point. Can’t believe my jacket will arrive tomorrow! I can hardly wait. It’s like Christmas when you’re a kid (at age 58). Haha

If you don’t mind sharing, what was the customs fee for this jacket from Japan? I have been thinking about buying a Double Helix but have been a bit nervous not knowing what the fees will be now with the whole tariff situation.

I asked Matsuda about this and he said he hasn't heard that customers in the US have had to pay any tariffs. I'm hoping that's accurate.

Happy day! My jacket arrived! I’ve only had time to inbox it and try it on. But did not have time to take any pictures yet. It’s absolutely beautiful. The fur collar is very soft and beautifully executed. I’ll have more time to go over the jacket tonight, but everything seems to be spot on. Almost forgot, I did not have to pay any additional tariffs.

I think they found a way to ship it without the extra duties. From what I understand, they would’ve charged me on pick up if there was something additional for me to pay.

Some quick and horrible selfies. It’s hot in SoCal and I am doing some home repairs, but I took a quick break. I just threw it on to take a few quick shots. Seems perfect on the body. Sleeve length is perfect.
