Coffee made from coffee beans that had been ground in a coffee grinder that previously been used to grind mustard seed. It was like drinking liquid, oily horseradish.

Now, there is one grinder solely for coffee and a seperate grinder for spices.

Haversack.

A beer float. 1 can of beer, several scoops of vanilla ice cream.

Nasty. Tastes like wet cardboard.

Hmm, I know folks who like Guinness and premium type vanilla ice cream. Of course, the ingredients may make all the difference.

Here's one you'd think you shouldn't try, but in fact it's quite good.

Chileans love a concoction they call FANSCHOPP. The "schopp" part is, I believe, the German word for "beer on tap." The "fan" part stands for "Fanta," a brand of orange soda. Fanta is popular in Chile.

Anyway, fanschopp is a half & half mixture of blonde beer and orange soda. Served everywhere there, even in diners and bars. Sounds perfectly awful, yes? I refused to try it for my first three years in Chile. When I finally did, the pleasant taste was a big surprise. It actually works.

I ate Guinness flavoured Ice Cream last summer...I asked the guy at the counter what it tasted like-he said Guinness-so I ordered some...funny, I notice it's not on the menu this year.[huh]

At first blush, the beer cocktails popular in France disgusted me. I gave them a try, though, and now I'm particularly fond of the demi-p?™che. :)

Panach?©: beer and French-style lemonade
Demi-p?™che: beer with a shot of peach syrup
Monaco: beer, French lemonade, and grenadine syrup

In the US, I don't think we give much thought to beer cocktails, but they can be pretty tasty.

Can I submit Aftershock as one of the more disgusting liqueurs around? It tastes like cinnamon red hot candies and is sure to give you a horrid hangover.

Story! :)

Here's a good rule of thumb... if it's on fire, blow it out first.

Anything with dark rum makes me ill! So does any flavored vodka. But being that I'm still underage, beggars can't be choosers and I must suck it up! ;)

Golly, this thread is nauseating! It's also reminding me of those days before I was of legal drinking age. You know the time when teens think it's fun to drink, for they don't ge hangover's, and they'll put together some pretty disgusting concoctions made from whatever they can get their hands on.

Speaking of disgusting concoctions... On New Year's Eve this year, I was at a party where one of the hosts decided to mix me a drink with Midori, sour mix, peppermint schnapps, and something red. It tasted like drinking orange juice while brushing your teeth.

Afterwards, I stuck with cab sauv for the rest of the night.

For those of you who are underage: if you're going to hide your vodka in a Listerine bottle, be very cautious of what you mix it with later. Pretty much nothing will taste good.

I've known people (Germans, mostly) to mix equal parts beer and Coke, which just tasted horrible to me.

Give me a gibson any day.

Was once invited to a young lady's hotelroom for a goodnight drink: Coca Cola mixed with Fernet Branca ...  she claimed it to be a argentine drink!
Well...Don't cry for me Argentina!
