More like "normal"--parity of ages is a relatively recent thing, the usual trend through history is a guy five to ten years older IIRC.

(I've also heard a ten-year difference in maturity levels between men and women at a given age cited as one of the reasons for it working, but...)

This is demographically quite true. It can work fine, and there are plenty of reasons for it, but those reasons become less pressing after industrialization occurred in a given society.

Yeah, but they don't have as much chance to be there for you in the long-haul--you might get the estate, but then you have to start over breaking in a new one from scratch... whereas with a relatively-young guy (at least in chronological age), you get the chance to refine our ability to cater to your whims more through more practice, and it's easier to teach us "new tricks"... lol

Linc, I was so tired and crabby by 3:00am on Friday night, my eyeballs were about to fall out of my head and take a nap underneath a napkin. Plus, I wasn't nearly drunk enough. The iced tea I ordered was a bad idea. It had that opposite effect I was looking for.
