Hi everyone.
Here are some more shots that D sent me.
Those are showing the transition of the hide going from Bordeaux to Black.
The contrast of those two colors will be a subtle one when it wears and tears. And I like it.

The first one is a photo of some parts.
The second is the Bordeaux back piece.
And the third one shows the sleeve top in black with the collar in Bordeaux laying across it.

Here is the finished product.
I asked for a little bit less shiny leather.
Ah, and it's 24" chest and it's 24,75" long. I just hope it fits.

And here are some details, as quoted by DD:

"The zips are all Talon originals, though I did have to use reproduction sliders for the diamond chains.

I was able to get a small number of original United Carr "Dot", 24 line snaps recently, and those are all through your jacket which is completely correct for Buco jackets of this era.

Wool is made here in the US of A just like originals and in that stunning "buffalo plaid" as requested, and is 15oz in weight.

Sleeves are lined in 100% Cotton drill in a very heavy weight. As is the cigarette pocket flap, again normal for Buco of this era, though they usually used a brown plain weave cotton.

As to the label, don't freak out about the sizing tag on there, the jacket will fit perfectly. Technically this is a vintage size 46 (thus the label) but will fit perfectly on a modern size 44"

It will be shipped tomorrow and hopefully here within the next two weeks. Oh my...

I'm really excited now!

WOW! Those shots look absolutely stunning! The workmanship on that is definitely superior to the work he did on my jacket (which was still pretty good) I find it weird, yet oddly impressive that Dave seems to do a better job on more complicated jackets like this one! Can't wait to see fit pics of it.

Dude, I think the J-100 is very hard because of the symmetry. If you don't get that right it looks really stupid!
