Dehen N1 deck jacket sizing advice/thoughts please

I think they run slightly small. I picked up a S since all my other Dehen pieces are that size and fit well (tees, a Crissman, a cardigan) and the small N1 was kind of restrictive with anything more than a tshirt or OCBD. I’m 5’9”, 150ish lbs, 38” chest, for reference. I’m hoping they didn’t update the sizing because I scooped a M last night in a newer colour way.

The S was in the 10oz waxed canvas, the M is 12oz dry waxed canvas. I’ll report back when it arrives next week!

Hi All

By way of update, I ended up buying both a medium and a large in the end as I wanted to make sure I was 100% happy with what is for me a very expensive purchase. Whilst the medium may have looked to the non wearer as a better, more tailored fit and I preferred the silhouette of it, it was slightly tight across my back (particularly if lifted my arms and brought them forward at all) and also slightly pinched under the armpits. I have therefore decided to keep the large and return the medium.

The jacket itself is absolutely stunning and just oozes substance and quality. I cant recommend it enough. If I had the money Id probably own 2/3 of them in different colours! Thanks again for everyone's input

Which color did you end up keeping? The black with Kodiak that I have is understated, but it's also such a great coat, that if you know, you know.

I am 175 cm, 89 kg and wear a comfortable size L. My favorite winter jacket. I admit a thick sweater would be tight. I mainly wear wool shirts with the jacket. It is incredibly warm anyway.
