Getting this back on track, of course I grew up with Redford in front of the camera, but in early adulthood I discovered his work behind it.

The first film I saw from him was "A River Runs Through It" and the second was "The Milagro Beanfield War".

Both of these remain on my top fifty favorites of all time list, with Milagro in the top 20. It is a magical film.

Paul McCartney was a big fan of and good friend to Brian Wilson. I had the good fortune of seeing him and his band — built around the Wondermints and a few other people — perform a couple of times, in smallish venues after he made his performing comeback in the late 1990s. That first show in particular, at the Moore Theater in Seattle, was kinda magical. It was a singalong of sorts, with people ranging from little kids to oldsters dancing in the aisles. It’s a cherished memory.
Brian Wilson made my life better. If I could, I’d tell him that.
Watching for the fourth or fifth time “The Wrecking Crew,” the 2008 documentary about the LA-based session musicians who came to be known by that name on account of their more straitlaced predecessors in that line of work saying they were wrecking the popular music business.

Anyone doubting the genius that was the recently deceased Brian Wilson ought watch that film and hear the why of it from people who clearly know of what they speak.

Many great musicians came from the wrecking crew.. I had no idea that many of the musicians that I have loved and admired came from the wrecking crew.. even Elvis Presley used them! The best of the best!

I had the pleasure of seeing Kiss for the first time right after Alive! came out, and again about a year later. They were a force to be reckoned with.

Caught Frehley's comet in the late 80s, as well. Can't remember who they opened for. Rainbow, maybe?
I’m still living in the 70’s..I listen regularly to my kiss albums almost everyday and seem to never get tired of them especially kiss alive in concert
