The Crittenden line is made in China but to a much higher standard (lots of handwork) than anything found at even treble their SRP. The man who runs it used to run Oxxford.

Available at Sierra Trading Post in Linen and Twill. Better hurry, they're running out fast.

Oh, and they also have a corduroy sport coat from Crittenden as well.

Thanks Tomasso for the heads-up on this outstanding deal! I couldn't decide so ordered the linen in both blue and tan (the order qualifies for free shipping, even with the extra 40% off). I see return shipping is a flat $5.75, which is highly reasonable.

I bought them specifically to match these linen pants from J. Peterman I got a while back:

The pants are a brownish-tan with nice blue windowpane which may match both jackets (I hope). They're currently on clearance at $42, and if you click through the banner link on the lounge to J. Peterman, the price goes from $129 down to $36.12. They're not the fanciest, but they're nice and even have suspender buttons.

Nabbed one of the linen khakis... At first I missed the 20% you mentioned, Bill, but I went back and contacted them so they honored it! So I got the jacket for $115 inc. shipping. A really good deal! Thanks for letting us know, Tomasso!

Mine arrived today. I usually wear a 40 regular, so I ordered a Medium, which STP described as fitting 38 - 40 chests. It is too big in the body and the sleeves are very long for me. Without having taken any actual measurements, I'd say this jacket fits about like a 42 long. Unfortunately, with the functional button holes, this wouldn't be easy to have tailored to fit me, so I can't use the jacket.

I got lucky with 40% off coupon, so if someone wants to buy it from me at my cost of $76.48, plus actual shipping and PayPal's 3%, please send me a PM. Otherwise, I'll return it to STP for a refund.

^^ this sizing issue worries me - mine arrive tomorrow, so I'll know soon.

I just noticed there is now a review of the linen jacket at STP, and the reviewer says it is true to size and length, but with too-long sleeves.

Mine arrived, and it was too big on me. :(

I ordered a ML, but neglected to take into account that the jacket is unlined, without shoulder padding, so it was huge on me. I opted not to exchange, but instead to just be refunded. I loved the styling of it, and the quality was very nice, but the return provided an easy excuse to nab Aureliano's Vita-Felt Whippet instead. The good news for everyone else is that there's now one more ML. And apparently as of two nights ago, there's 3 M's in stock.

OK, mine showed up and they are sized very oddly. I am size 46 regular, and the XL linen jacket was very tight - the buttons closed, but it was body hugging and no good. Sleeves were too long, but only by a couple of inches - a normal amount in my experience. A clever tailor could deal with the working buttons. Offhand, I would characterize the XL as a 44 Long. If anyone cares to PM me, I will echo SteveAS' offer above - purchase price plus actual UPS shipping - I have both the tan and the blue. But I have to assume the reason these jackets wound up at STP is the extremely wonky sizing. Re: quality, I think the jackets are nice, but nothing special - I can't imagine paying MSRP for one of these, or even 50% off.

Sorry it's not working out, guys.

Would you mind taking a few photos (inside particularly) of the jacket? I'm just curious about the quality of make. Of course fit is always a wild card with OTR, though the practice of sewing working buttonholes on OTR is baffling to me. That's a $50+ fix to shorten sleeves from the shoulder and if you don't have a good tailor......
