teju lizards are quite small so the hides are as well. The hides are always pieced together. Use a brush to keep the seams clean from dirt buildup. Lizard hides can be bad about splitting.

I picked up a pair of Larry Mahan peanut brittle lizards on eBay a few years back. They had one piece vamps, I was amazed.

Blow this image up and look at how all the negative space on the shaft has been filled with stitching from a pre-war Singer single needle sewing machine.

Miles, I bet. I’d like to know the hours spent on those tops. The tone on tone is striking. As I recall, the first pair she used stitching to fill so much space, she said she was trying to create a stained glass effect.
