Still made in Spain, Sendra makes a nice boot.

I don't own any of their Cowboy boots but I do own a pair of Sendra engineers and I must agree with you, Sendra makes some awesome boots(especially for the price!)

Being a rancher he makes a line of plain-Jane ranch boots & buckaroo’s that are sold off the shelf locally, mostly. They last forever.

What's the heights on these, it seems taller than regular ones? The details are amazing

For your first pair you should try Chisos or Los Altos. For the price Los Altos has a nice selection of leathers and toe shapes. I just got back from Austin and went by the big boot store on south congress. It was underwhelming. Heritage boots down the street had great quality boots. Warren Buffett bought up most of the major boot brands. A great majority of cowboy boots are made in Leon, Mexico. I am not a fan with of full quill ostrich, but smooth ostrich and ostrich leg are special. .

I know this is an old thread but I came here specifically for Los Altos reviews. I totally agree about the quality and selection. I have a full quill ostrich and a bullhide. They are very comfortable too..

What is the rancher boot brand? Sorry I am late. I hope I’m not being rude jumping into your conversation..but I can’t ever have enough western style boots (cowboy boots)

Tuesdays are meeting day, so the Los Altos caimans made the trip to work today. They ended up climbing around a boiler room dealing with a pump that stopped pumping. There was some discussion awhile back about the work-worthiness of caiman. Probably not the best choice, simply because of what it costs (and cowboy boots are not very good for climbing pipes, period) but so far it has held up amazingly well in conditions like this.

I’m a plumber and I wear hondo boots all day long.. just all leather and built like the Lucchese classic.. I love my Los Altos full quill ostrich though!

Thanks, really great pair! 14" total height, 1 5/8" heel on these.
