Cowboy Boots

I've been trying to find some info on a boot I believe made by either Hyer or Olathe at one time called the "Sandhill" boot.
BB, I have two Hyer catalogs from the 1940's & no mention of a Sandhill boot. They did offer two Ranch boots with extended vamps & minimal stitching probably for the very same reasons you mentioned.

Wow! That style #17 is a damn full two piece boot you could order from the factory. #28 sounds like the Sandhill. Thanks for posting that, HJ. Outstanding!

I certainly don't know all the makers but I'm only aware of a handful that make a two piece. D. W. Frommer kinda started a revival of sorts with that style, often referred to as the Wellington. He's taught a few others, Sorrell and Paul Krause among them.

That is such a good color, maybe as close to "natural" as you can get and the tops are great but neutral. Anything goes with that pair.
Thanks Greg. The light and med gray is a nice contrast. I do like wearing them and catch myself looking down at them often. Much like looking at a fine female specimen...hard not too! Kinda weird me thinks! Lol
