I retract all my advice regarding the "50s" DB above. That is a 1980s suit, there is no doubt in my mind. I no longer give this seller the benefit of the doubt. The Original thrift store is a charlatan of the worst kind. See this listing:

Anyone with even the barest knowledge of British vintage suits known that this was not altered in the 1960s. It was made in the 1960s. Undoubtedly. Beware this seller. he's trying to con you.

Admittedly, he often has original 1940s suits which are of very high quality, but putting things forward as 1940s when you know they're not is plain dishonesty.

It was not advertised as vintage of any sort, although some of the details are unlike anything I've seen in today's suits - at least off the rack.

There's a curious button arrangement on the vest, which my old eyes can only see if I enlarge the picture provided.

Probably not that old. '70s or '80s, by the lining and label.

Why I ask is that I have the exact same middle brown one which I got as a dead stock recently and it had a distinct touch of the 50s maybe 60s. The label inside says vinyl sock lining. I do not know when man made materials entered shoemaking. In any case you got them cheaper than me.

Not so much this example but the previous ones were too small to get a decent price. The average foot size now is 10 1/2. Those just don't meet the average. The hat has to be at least a 7 3/8 to get top dollar as well.
The suit would have gained more if it was a 44 or larger being that the average guy is 5' 10 1/2" and weighs 191 lbs. That ain't a size 42.
