Sounds like Peep Jousting to me.

Take two Peeps, insert toothpicks into the front of them like lances, put them in the microwave and turn it on. The first Peep to pop the other wins!

What can I say? I never liked Peeps and had to find creative ways to get rid of them every Easter. lol

Never, ever, put vintage pyrex dishes under the broiler in your oven. They may be oven safe - but the broiler is too hot for them. I literally had a pyrex dish explode in my hands when I took it out from under the broiler and it hit the cool air outside the oven. Flying hot glass shards = disaster.

And even wearing rubber gloves when working with hot peppers...never touch ANYTHING until you've washed the gloves, taken them off and washed your hands just to be absolutely safe. I was making chili jelly (serranos - between a jalapeno and habanera), and I'd finished chopping the peppers and getting them into the vinegar to boil, and was going to take off the gloves, but I was sweating and pushed sweat off my forehead with the back of a gloved hand as I stood over the sink - somehow transferred a streak of pepper across my forehead. That raised a big red welt diagonally across my forehead for a good day or so.

And that's brings up another point - if you're ever heating or boiling vinegar, be really careful removing the lid and/or keep away from the fumes of the hot vinegar. That'll knock you for a loop but fast if you get a whiff!

I hear ya on the vinegar fumes. When I make and can my ketchup and my salsa I have to remember not to stand directly over the pot...I end up crying every time

I always find people lighting a barbeque to be quite entertaining.

Nearly every time, they try to use that little plastic plunger-sparker that lights the BBQ.

So they turn on the propane, that familiar hiss starts...

...click...click..click.CLICK..CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK

The more flammable gas in the area, the more panic-laden the button pushing become. At this point, they either turn off the propane (smart) or keep pushing it only to require some new eyebrows for work on Monday!

Or, like a local guy who lives across town, they try to light the BBQ with the lid down. We heard the 'bang' from our house, and they needed a new BBQ because apparently the lid of the old one blew clean off!

Don't play with fire, kids.
