My BK A-2 was made with Victory Hide in Antique Russet Victory hide. It certainly appears to have a lighter color underneath.

is it also applicable to jeans?clear coat
That's fantastic @Grayland - I wish there was a way to then stop the process just when it gets a look like this.
I'm not sure if you are referring to the wear through? The Victory will not wear through like the Liberty.
That Victory has gotten really expensive!!!
Those are both great jackets.
eventually hit a point where their owner wants it to just stop right there, and it would be great if a maker offered the ability to seal the finish again at that point. (or someone else could handle it... the product must be commercially available)
I have no idea how my jacket will age. I bought it used and it was listed as Liberty hide. I thought it was beautiful in the pics and it is even better in real life. I posted some pics and a positive write-up. A few days later, Andy from BK emailed me to tell me it was actually made of Victory hide in antique russet. The antiquing is very nicely done.
Good looking jacket Dickie. I would love to handle some Victory hide -- BK promised me a sample, but it never materialized. The photos suggest that the hide has a reddish undertone that shows through with wear. Is that accurate?
The Giardini is an Italian topcoat in gloss or matt, they send a free sample of 250ml of each along with 500ml of edge paint for the price of shipping, and Fiebing's Resolene is US based. That's fantastic @Grayland - I wish there was a way to then stop the process just when it gets a look like this.
Yeah there's quite a bit red popping now, hope the jacket doesn't end up red.
Terry - I forget what size your BK Duke is, but if it is size 42 and you ever decide to part with that sweet Victory Horsehide please email me!!!!!!
