C'mon you guys! Wild, Wild World of Animals!!!! Both the opening and closing theme were tremendous!!!

I agree with Five-O and "The Persuaders!" (my fave show, probably.)

That song was so catchy, I still catch it as an ear worm from time to time. What, 40-some years later?

Yeah 1964/65, somewhere close. What made the "The Patty Duke Show" theme song so good was the instrumental section, nice horns typical of the 60’s pop era, with lyrics to match, it was fun, my dad used to get upset when he saw me watching this show, said it was a “girls show” As embarrassing as it may seem, little did he know I was going through puberty and had this crush on with Patty Duke lol

Patty Duke Theme song

Meet Cathy, who's lived most everywhere,
From Zanzibar to Barclay Square.
But Patty's only seen the sights
A girl can see from Brooklyn Heights --
What a crazy pair!

But they're cousins,
Identical cousins all the way.
One pair of matching bookends,
Different as night and day.

Where Cathy adores a minuet,
The Ballet Russes, and crepe suzette,
Our Patty loves to rock and roll,
A hot dog makes her lose control --
What a wild duet!

Still, they're cousins,
Identical cousins and you'll find,
They laugh alike, they walk alike,
At times they even talk alike --
You can lose your mind,
When cousins are two of a kind.

Peter Gunn may well be the best ever.

The Third Man ranks up there as does the Alfred Hitchcock show.

There seems to be a dearth of westerns so here are a few that I remember:
Have Gun, Will Travel (Richard Boone)
Sugarfoot ( ? )
Cheyenne (Clint Walker)
Bronco (Ty Hardin)
Rawhide (Eric Fleming and Clint Eastwood)
Johnny Yuma (the Rebel) (Nick Adams)
Wyatt Earp (Hugh O'Brien)
Wagon Train (Ward Bond)
Bonanza (Lorne Greene, Parnell Roberts, Dan Blocker, Michael Landon)
Davey Crockett (Fess Parker)

I cannot remember the theme songs from Maverick, Wanted Dead or Alive, The Rifleman, Yancey Derringer, and other shows I must have forgotten. We watched a lot of westerns back in the day.

"Made of pen and ink, She'll win you witha wink, ain't she cute *Boop-Boop-Be-Doop* Sweeet Betty" (That was all by memory.)

It aint T.V. but those movies on the radio.

I always get a chill when I hear "LUX PRESENTS HOLLYWOOD!"

JP, I figured the A-Team theme was already overlisted, so why be redundant. I actually liked the show until that stupid Robert Vaughn story-arc was brought in for the final season--I mean come on, fugitives going back to work for the very government that wants to give 'em the chair? Not seeing it without full pardons all around up-front... and if even a kid could see that...

The Flash--well, superheroes were never my genre, I always liked stuff to be at least somewhat realistic with current science and tech. (KITT mostly is--except for the armor and the AI--within our technical grasp, and Airwolf would've been without the supersonic speed and the BS telescoping gunbarrels.)

How about this then:

There was a recent TV show devoted to how much of that stuff is actually plausible now, which was most of it.
