Was looking at some interesting derbies online and realized that the Deerskin Felt hats are "Best Make". Ties in with the deer head on this hat.

More pieces to the puzzle. Appears that Deerskin Felt hats were made by Shaw for Kaufman. From April 1918 American Hatter.
