The ribbon always had some contrast with the felt. The hat is maybe 12 years old, but looked pretty much like this when new, I think.

I like the Daily Boina theme.
Here is one from @Daan at South Pacific Berets. Excellent quality. Auloronesa Universal in a rich dark brown, small 9.5 plate. I received it pretty quick too. Exactly two weeks from NZ to California.

My chasseurs alpins has survived its first battle, with the USPS!
It is wonderful thick and dense. Comparing it to other berets is like comparing blanket weight wool to shirt weight wool.

No, I don’t have a 9.5 — but after buying 10 and 11 pouce, I know I’d go with the smaller size because I like 11” and 12” in Spanish pulgadas.

Thanks! It's pretty thick and fuzzy, but I don't get itchy. My skin is not very sensitive, I do have leather like skin!
