The Cubs had four years to regain the Series, Darvish had those two seasons.
I understand front office hard reality, but Joe G not hired, Chili Davis packed off, and other
Theoisms set the stage. This is rebuilding and the Cubs are in a long haul.

As am I. I was fortunate to see him locally against our Single A team when he was coming up through the minors.

Great player. Class act. And he almost pulled off the Home Run Derby.

I really hope he can get to 700, he would have had it, except they could pitch around him for so many years.

I guess I didn't realize he was at 13 shy. I'm rooting for him, but if he's hanging up his cleats after this year, that may be a stretch. Either way, his next stop is Cooperstown.

Well, even though my Cards didn't make it, this is turning out to be a great Series so far.
And it has been a memorable Season for us too!

Wow! My Missus surprised me big time. She has rented a B&B near Jupiter, FL in March so I will get to fulfill a bucket list dream of going to a Cardinals Spring Training Game. I am a truly blessed man to have such a lady.
