From the folds of time and with infinite patience I managed to find some Barbisio related items
2ec2gr6.jpg

Three magnificent hat holders, in sheet metal, Bakelite and wood with the classic coat of arms of the Barbisio of the golden years.
These were used in stores to have hats of the same size at hand. Fortunately they arrived with three new hats from the fifties
Two Barbisio and an Albertini, very rare
29g206p.jpg

The hatbox is of more recent construction (around sixties) and is suitable for holding a hat. It comes from another seller and has arrived empty
156tq28.jpg

Last, the showcase in Bakelite and glitter, comes directly from the 30s. The hat on the back is a Barbisio homburg naturally
It comes from the same unidentified shop, from which the Austrian and the Panizza and Grosso Valtz showcase come from.

Fantastic finds, Daniele. Your patience paid off. These hat stands seem to be very well made. I have a few made for Wegener hats but those are much more simple than these.

My contribution to this thread. Lovely felt in line with my best of Borsas. I really kinda like this hat. Very well appointed and a pleasure to wear. Not bad to look at either i think. I’m not overly affectionate with green but this one’s ok.
Be well. Bowen
Love the shark's gill ribbon. The liner and sweat are pristine. Wow Bowen, way to step up to the plate tonight.

Thanks Red, gives me a chance to play with em. Still wonky pics?? I’m still thinking bout your longcoat. I bought two for my Son for Christmas, one cut just like yours. Was kinda hoping he didn’t like it but alas, he learned fast. Be well my friend. Bowen

Wonderful addition to this thread, Bowen. I'm not much of an aficionado of green hats myself, but this one looks very nice. I have one of these Barbisio Gran Lusso hats too, but without the chamois finish or the sharkgill. Very cool. Very unusual too that the bow runs that far towards the back.

It has something to do with the phone. These were taken with cell-phone I'm guessing. I had the same problem and I could only fix it if I opened the pictures first in some kind of photo editor and saved them again as a jpg.

This one belongs here too, of course. The Barbisio heather that Daniele found for me. Barbisio Misto Montana, size 57. Brim at 6cm and crown 10,5cm at the pinch. Finish is called semi ruvido (semi rough).

Posted this one in the new hats thread before, but it belongs here too. Barbisio Ticino in grey. Size 57 with a bound brim at 6cm and crown 11cm at the pinch. Lined with onionskin/oilskin covering of the crown patch. If anyone has more specific information about what that material is exactly (and if it's still available today) I'd be much obliged. Very unusual form somewhere between a fedora and a homburg. Definitely meant to be worn brim up.

Gorgeous. Very nice details and construction on this one. Do we think it is early production? Love the look, I would wear it just as it is.

Mike, thank you. Hard to say what its age is. Barbisio did not change its labels for a long time, so there's very little to go on. I will certainly wear it like it is (just not with high winds; it's a bit roomy for me).

It's been a while since a hat has been posted here. Barbisio deserves far more credit than it gets because their hats are very high quality and the variety is stunning. Here is a new one that I added to the collection. Barbisio Titan in chamois finish. Colour is called Terranova and the designation on the liner is Qualitá Superlativa. Sounds about right to me. Raw edge brim at 6,5cm and crown at 10cm at the pinch. The hand of this felt is nothing short of incredible. Very lovely shark gill bow (comparable to the one Bowen posted before).

My last Barbisio hat had me wanting more, so I searched for Barbisio Titan and I actually found two of them in my size. This is the first one. Barbisio Titan in chamois finish and Atlantico colour. The felt is still gorgeous, but this one has a different shape with more taper and a shorter brim than the Terranova. Brim 5,5cm and crown 10,5cm at the pinch. Feels a bit like a stingy, but that felt....

This is the second Barbisio Titan I found. Not a chamois finish and a bit sturdier than the others. It's a bit older too is my guess. Barbisio Titan in the colour Cervo, qualitá superlativa. Nice hand to the felt, but no match for the chamois of course. The shape is nice though and the bow treatment is a neat touch. Brim 5,5cm and crown 9,5cm at the pinch. The brims of the hats are the same size, but this one does not feel stingy at all.

It needed a bit of TLC: this was the way it was listed (and how it arrived).
