Just to see how much the the word "rare" is used, I plugged it into EBay. 1,519,366 entries. The word seems to be used a lot.

Mr Mackin, the redskin B-3 is a superb example of a great jacket, indeed ELC make the most accurate redskin in the UK. My point was that this jacket should not be described as "rare". It is sad that one can't even comment on the inappropriate use of the word "rare" without being accused of being rude. Some sellers need to use more objective comments when advertising their items on the internet.
