Actually, I got a Yankee Candle from drugstore around the corner running. This time a mediocre sized glass of Calming Cabana.

Never saw this one before, but It's delicious to me. I would say exotic fruit, vanilla and some cinnamon. I don't know, if it should remind you of a Mochito, but it seems to be in this sphere.

William Shakespeare:

That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruin’d choirs where late the sweet birds sang.
In me thou seest the twilight of such day
As after sunset fadeth in the west,
Which by and by black night doth take away,
Death’s second self, that seals up all in rest.
In me thou seest the glowing of such fire
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the death-bed whereon it must expire,
Consum’d by that which it was nourished by.
This thou perceiv’st which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well which thou must leave ere long.

Beautiful!
I miss the seasons. Here in Hawaii, it is basically summer all year long.
Yes, locals do talk about the slight wobbles one gets through The year (we have a rainy season. The length of the day varies by about an hour from June to December) but basically the temp stays about the same. We can swim in the ocean all year long. its Nice, but I kind of miss hats and scarves and sweaters and coats.

i can’t believe it is November already. Where has the year gone? In the blink of an eye it will be 2025. My thoughts really are autumnal. It gives one pause, being deep in the autumn of life. Pardon the gloom. We recently had a death in the family.

On a brighter note, thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and, for the first time in a few years, we are free to travel again.

Happy All Souls’ Day.

The New Forest once covered much of the southern county of Hampshire and and the surrounding counties, one of which is Dorset, where we live.
It was promotion at work, or to be precise, the offer of promotion, I didn't have to take it. So glad that Tina encouraged me to do so. Life after London couldn't be more different. We haven't fallen out with our Capital city but the only jammed packed public transport we see nowadays, are tourist sightseeing buses.

It does get very busy between June, July and August, who can blame them.

We have a few celebrities that loved The New Forest. Among them are Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock Holmes creator and author, is buried in All Saints' Church, near to Lyndhurst.

Florence Nightingale is buried at St Margaret of Antioch near Romsey.

The New Forest became the tourist choice that it is today back in the early 19th century with the coming of the railways. In the 1960's much of the new Forest railways were ripped up. A case of corporate vandalism. A survivor of that decimation was Holmsley Station which became Holmsley Tea Rooms, and very popular it is too.

Now there's speculation of the line being reopened. You couldn't make it up.
