I think part of the reason that the thought of sewing gives me hives is the fact that I learned how to sew and did a lot of it until high school with my mothers (and her mother's before her) Singer from circa 1925. It was a beast.
I can now appreciate it for some things... but I would never try to make a dress with it again! I am very impressed with those of you who sew with older machines.
My best friend has a great Huskava (sp?) sewing/embroidery machine and I am just thinking it might be fun to go over to her place and sew for a weekend. Those vintage Vogue patterns keep calling to me (granted I have sewn nothing for years so maybe I should start with something less ambitious)
