I imagine it wasn't done by hand as the OP is considering but was completely reblocked on a teardrop crown block.
You might call them anyway Mike. I believe Sheldon told me that they have options where there is no minimum order. It's been a while so I could be wrong, but definitely worth a call to find out.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of the death of a relative who was KIA in 1943. I think I saw a thread about ancestors who served in the Forces, but can't remember what it is called - can anyone point me in the right direction. I think he has an interesting story and I want to keep his memory (and that of his unit) going if possible. There are also a few hat shots .
I had a decent panama with a telescope bash I really grew to dislike. Sent it to Mike at NW Hats and he totally reworked it to a really nice teardrop so I know it can be done. Can't offer any insight on the HOW!
Try a Google search, ending with "fedora lounge?"
Thanks. Tried, but could not find. Will try some different search terms or just leave it.

I had a few hats done by Mike at the same time and cannot remember if he did a cost break down of each hat. But the total cost was very reasonable so cannot imagine the reblocking cost all that much. I am much closer to Mike than you but I can mail a hat to him for about $8.This is good to know that to toquilla straw hats can be re-blocked to the desired shape. Does anybody know if it is cost effective for lower priced hats? I know you have the 2 way shipping costs but does anybody have a rough idea of the cost involved?
Guessing $50-$75. Only one way to find out for sure. This is good to know that to toquilla straw hats can be re-blocked to the desired shape. Not sure if this is the thread you are looking for but found this one "Acestor Hat Pics", not specifically for those who served in the "forces" but includes some?

Wlcm Ken. Round trip for shipping alone will be abt $40 total.
On my last repair/replace/redo with Mike, I shipped 4 or 5 hats in one well organized box. Still only $20.00Good point I was figuring less than $10 but that is east coast and most if not all the hatters are on the west coast! I need to just stick with Hat-co outlet hats!
