strategically placed reduction tape works greatHello all
question to hat size.
Normaly i have a hat size 58 (7 1/4)
But i would to buy a vintage hat in size 61 (7 5/8). What can i do to make the hat smaller that he fits for me?
thanks for help and answers
mike
Shrink the sweat with water and dry over a lamp.
Isn't that asking a lot...to reduce a 7 5/8 down 3 sizes?strategically placed reduction tape works great
Yer absolutely correct. It is too much. Thought it was 7 3/8.I think that's too many sizes to ask for that method. The I'm 7 1/4 as well as you, moonie, and mike. I'd sell it to Jack or Charlie and get something in my size.

+1If it is truly a nice vintage hat, there are plenty of larger noggin folks that would kill for it. Take some good photos of the hat, including the liner and sweat logos and put it out to your fellow loungers in the classified section. These folks have such a hard time finding larger sizes, it would be a shame not to throw a bone their way.

Oh, sure, friend! Sell it to them without giving me fair a shot at it. I see how you are!I'd sell it to Jack or Charlie and get something in my size.

Someone else said that earlier...Yeah that's far too much
I read it as 3/8 for some reason
There is no shrinking that far realistically

It is possible but it will not be very comfortable to wear...Isn't that asking a lot...to reduce a 7 5/8 down 3 sizes?
Even with tape or foam spacers you won't be happy with the results.
