+3 I dont think the brim up fits me...+2. There are some members here who can wear their hats with the brim up or down--Bob Roberts, Moontheloon, and DH66 come to mind--and look good either way. Me, with the brim up I look like even more of an idiot than I usually do.

The basic specs are 5 3/4" open crown height, 2" brim, 2" ribbon.
The thing is that the film hat is Optimo's Oxblood dye, which is not among the common colors.

There's a current Dobbs model called the Strand, which comes in Burgundy with a matching ribbon, which is pretty darn close for a blocked in crease, but it's wool:

The Black Cherry felt which is being used by Art Fawcett, Bob Jessee, an John Penman (among others) is a very close match to the Optimo felt as well.
