Found 2 nice hats at Salvation Army today: one a very tiny grey Royal Stetson sized 6 5/8 and one a little larger with no markings but a Dobbs shield (dark brown with the number 593 handwritten inside). Any thoughts on these. I assume the stetson is a child's hat? Thanks for your help! I'll try to get pictures too.
===== first 2 pics are the stetson, then 2 of the Dobbs. (if this works!)

Almost true. My wife wears 6 3/4 in a man's hat. My sister's head was even smaller. She probably would have worn the 5/8.6 5/8 hats are worthless for adults today. I have several friends who sell hats and they don’t even mess with them as they are not able to sell them.
Could only be used by children.
Like people have said, adult heads are rarely small enough for a 6 5/8 anymore. My sister passed 2 1/2 mo. ago, and I think she was a rare exception. It's an atractive hat. I don't think the dark brown 6 5/8 hat I bought would appeal to a woman, but that one might. You're probably a better judge than I.
7 5/8 is a good size!Just pried up the leather on the Dobbs and found a slip that says 7 5/8! I guess the Stetson can go back to the Salvation Army!
Cool thanks, this is £100 uk and very dented as you can see, may still go for a haggle & see if I can bash it back into shape! They go for about $175 minimum on eBay lately.

Nice Dobbs Wests! I believe the numbers in the horse shoe were used by Dobbs West, in place of X rating. I have seen some with a gold horse shoe pin on the ribbon. Here are some photos of my 25. The model name on the tag is Open Trail.Grrrrrr!
Tapatalk again!
Pictures first, then the question.
I was admiring moehawk's Dobbs West 25, then fetched my Dobbs West dress Western for a closer look. No paper tags except the union stamped size tag, but the front of the sweat has a numeral 2 inside of a "catch the luck" horseshoe.
I grabbed my beautiful, green, Dobbs West western weight, and it's horseshoe is holding a 3.
What does it mean?

You can send me the little one! I have grandchildren, and apparently some of my family have their brains packed tighter than others

I think i will list the little one in the classified section here. Just $ 5 to cover my cost and shipping. IN case anyone wants.
Anyone have any idea how I might shape the hat? I’ve tried starch but that did not seem to work. I hate the front with no crease and therefor I have not been wearing it[emoji17]

You mean front pinch??
All mesh....i’d just iron it down the front like an Indy hat. The pinches will follow with wear and handling.
Thats a cool hat. What is it?? Got a link??
