What should I use to lubricate the zipper on my B-3 jacket?

Wax works well. I also use pencil lead. I tend to use my pencil tip with a long lead as grime remover, and then I try to go over the pencil with a new thick black over the teeth again. Lastly, I use a small brush to remove all the pencil lead dust. This pencil lead lubricant is also available in containers. if you do not have a candle you can use Crayola crayons. They also make good birthday candles.

Boeshield T-9 in a drop applicator is what I use on everything, it dries like a wax and leaves a robust film that doesn’t transfer.
