Hello everyone! This is my first post here after a year or so of lurking, so please let me know if this isn't the right place for this.
I've been looking to buy a pair of flat-fronted, buckle back, "fishtail" trousers for my historical impressions. I'd buy vintage if I can find anything in the right size, but will probably end up buying from Darcy Clothing (I am a college student, after all). Due to my somewhat unusual build, I'd have to buy them in a minimum of size 44 (limited by seat / thigh), and have the waist taken down to 37". I'm guessing that that difference is more than the buckle back was designed for.
I have had many waist take-ins done before, but only on modern-styled dress pants with a waistband. I'm just not sure how possible it is with this style of trouser. Attached below is a picture of the Darcy Clothing trousers from their website, for reference.
Any comments or questions will be welcome!
