The Alden Roy Boot was originally sold only by Context Clothing, which went out of business a few years ago. Now Alden Madison occasionally offers the same make up on pre-order, priced at $706. These are from Alden Madison, received a few months ago, worn three or four times indoors and three times outdoors. So, pretty close to new! I think the boots are very cool, and the crepe sole super comfy, but they are just a bit long for my feet.
Will let them go for half of the original price, or $353 (plus $15 shipping in the US). Not interested in offers; I'm in no hurry to sell and if need be I may start wearing them with insoles.
The leather is brown CXL but has just a bit of a burgundy undertone compared to other browns it seems to me. They are built on Alden's Trublance last (same as the Indy boot), with crepe sole and leather toe tap and really nice contrasting brass eyelets and speed hooks. I will link below to Alden Madison's listing, and will include the now-legendary picture of a pair of original Roy boots which had been worn for 10 years by one of the Context guys -- something to look forward to if you put some wear on these boots!

One thing I will call attention to: even though these have had very little wear they do have some "dimpled" marks on the upper shafts, which happens immediately because of the brass speed hooks. Comes in original Alden box.
Speed hook marks:
With ten years wear vs new!
