Akubra Sombrero bash

I have bought a Akubra Sombrero which I have probably wanted since I was a child and watched the Bush Tucker Man. I have given it a bash which is inspired by Les Hiddens design but still distinct for me. I also added a local crocodile band from a crocodile farm not far from
Me. I hope to get many years and adventures while wearing it as an archaeologist in northern Australia.

The Sombrero is a hat I'd love to try eventually. The croc band looks good on yours. I'm not a fan of the band that comes with them as standard, though I've toyed with the idea of a pugaree. I've owned a Riverina and now also a Cattleman to wear with a pug as a 'Safari' hat (love that 30s Big Game Hunter look, watched a lot of Johnny Weismuller pictures at an impressionable age). The vented crown makes a big difference to me, making a felt wearable in heat.

Thank you for the kind words I do like the Crocodile band. I also don’t like the band it comes with. Adding a pugaree would look great.
