Showy River?
My apologies; I hadn't read that thread....Yes! As the man said. ...

Anyone ever owned a Akubra Adventurer? I've been thinking about getting one.
So I took a trip out to Everything Australian today!
I had planned to do this before I even came to Melbourne but it became even more of an imperative because I’ve never even handled a Campdraft and none of the other three hat stores in the area have any in stock at the moment. That BGG is sure a nice hat, but I think I’m going to go for something widbrimmed on my next purchase!
It was great fun meeting Sam the owner and trying on his range of Akubras. He’s not a hat specialist but he’s super nice and knowledgeable and I left the warehouse with a big smile on my face. I will definitely bring my online Akubra business to him in the future!
Cheers,
Nathan

Nicely done on the bash. A 60 would fit just fine, when your tired of it just send it my way!The R.M. Williams Akubra. Silverbelly. Unworn (although purchased as 'used'). Hand-flanged and bashed. Will have it professionally flanged soon. The hand is straight up 'Aussie' needing a bunch of steam and patience. Quite different feel from my CDBGG as the felt is more Winter weight. Here now a few pics...
Upon arrival, I opened and steamed the crown for a fresh start.
