Good eye. Stomping all over Italy and Switzerland this summer in my Alden 405s gave me a wicked bad case of Achilles tendinitis. To get a better extension of the tendon, I went back to my many pairs of Danish Duckfeet. Technically, they aren’t zero drop, as there’s a small crepe heel, but they are foot shaped and very comfortable. That said, I always take a saw to mine when they’re new and cut the heel off. All of my feet are touching ground, and sometimes, that just feels right! They’re very well made and so comfortable. I highly recommend!

Wow, first time I hear abaout DuckFeet. Just checked their website and should give them a go.

How do you find sizing as compared to other makers?

Re jacket: I have rarely seen a better fitting LHB; it´s not easy to get the lenght exactly right but you and the Aero team nailed that one!

Thank you! All sizes are naturally wide and will accommodate a full-splay of your feet, so the only thing you’ll likely be sizing is length. I’ve found sizing to be pretty standard, true-to-size, but one time my toe was close to the end, so I sent them back for one size larger. Really cool shoes!

Thank you! Will give it a try for sure.

The comfort is exquisite. My Schott Buffalo bomber with the mouton collar has a knack for compressing my spine in one spot, which makes it tiring to wear. The neck pressure on this jacket is minimal to non existent—dispersing evenly across the shoulders.

Sorry to shit on your parade but the way the jacket fits you in this area indicates something different. At least to me it looks weird and uncomfortable. The leather bulges out and it looks like the collar is pinching your neck.
