Sized up one Size. The Sleeves come up a bit long. Hopefully they crease up a bit with wear. Otherwise the fit is much better
Looks a lot better. I’ve come to a realization that I won’t wear clothing that feels restrictive, even if it does look good. Here is my BR that I had Carrie alter in the waist to give it more of a “V” silhouette. As MrProper mentioned, your longer sleeves will look good once zipped up since the arms are slim on this jacket.

Zombie-ing this thread.

Can someone explain to me the reasoning behind your average Board Racer's shoulder measurements? Is it like a pattern trickery thing where they somehow fit larger?

Take, say, a size 42. The shoulders are usually somewhere between 17.25"-17.75", yet the P2P is around 22"-23". The average P2P measurement speaks to a very average body type for a size 42, not particularly slim, while the shoulder measurement is firmly less than the average male shoulder measurement for a guy who takes a 42, which is 17.5"-18.5", (deltoid to deltoid). And that's not even taking into account leather thickness, and how that affects exterior jacket measurements vs actual interior space.

So on paper, your average size 42 Board Racer doesn't actually fit, um, anyone. But in practice, they clearly do. So what's the story? Is the pattern designed to sit inwards of the deltoids, over the shoulder bones themselves, and the meat of the shoulders sit in the upper portion of the sleeve holes, which must be cut very high? That's the only thing that would seem to make sense... or am I missing something?
