I believe it had one of the crests, all white on a black felt. I'm not really sure... I'm still new to the hat world, so I have a hard time telling a derby from a bowler (just a joke). It was a 7-1/4.

At the top, I think, I just remember that it had a crest. And yes, add a pinch, and they would be the exact shape.

If it is an earlier one in 7 1/4 I'd say $70-100, rarely seen an Adam homburg go above $80 though. Most of mine are 7 1/4 and I paid between $30-90.

It's not as old as I thought, the "crest" I thought I saw wasn't actually a crest. I went ahead and picked it up, as I'm probably going to do some 40's film noir shorts, and I need prop hats. OK, so what I have figured out about it. It's definitely wool, the model name is "Godfather" and it isn't that old. Someone apparently put some side dents in it that I've yet to decide whether to take out. That's about it. So, what would the value be if, after my films, I decided to put it on ebay or here? Can post pics if needed.

Well, not exactly... It just says Adam(R) and has a sort of coat-of-arms or something with a couple of lions on the inside... I'm really confused now, because I thought they were the same company.

Definitely need pictures. I have not seen a logo with lions - unicorns yes, but not lions.

Yes, when you said that, I looked again and noticed that they weren't lions. Haha, sorry about that. So, is there any way you can judge the age of this? I'm pretty sure it's fairly new, but I'd like to find out for sure.

(explanation: the owner of the shop asked $8 for it, but then my wife bargained for a vintage aluminum xmas tree, and the hat got thrown in for free.)

Anyhow, back to the hat. Yes, it looks like a porkpie, but does it have the usual porkpie crease, a pronounced indented ring on top? You wear it well.

This is another JohnnyPhi Adam Crosley, size 7 3/8 from his FL auctions. This one doesn't have a sewn in liner. The felt is thicker and on the stiff side. The sweet looks similar to the sand Pacesetter that I posted earlier but that one has a sewn in liner. I am thinking early to mid 60s maybe latter?

here is a bit more - judging from previous posts, appears similar but not the same to above. so i'm figuring this is a 70s model. style: club ptv, color sudan
