Yes Peacoat. The one I have will show lbs. ozs. and kilos. I believe most do. Most were around 10 to 15 bucks. You can also program it to use a tare weight, such as a hanger. I measured each jacket a few different times and each time was almost dead on.. Might not be the most accurate, but is WAY better than the bathroom scale method. lol.
Thanks RK 04. When I get back from my latest trip I will get the Dr. Meter from Amazon.

BTW, I am a RK 06, Police model. I took the pole light and the pursuit lights off, but every thing else is still stock.

Also a RK rider. IMO, best bike out there, so many options for all types and lengths of rides.

Agreed. On day trips I keep it simple. For overnighters, I add a rear passenger seat with a luggage rack. With that set up I can carry almost as much as I could with my Ultra.

I took the police certification course on a Police RK and enjoyed it so much I had to have one. Initially I was going to use it as a back up to my Ultra and for competition. I liked it so well, I never rode the Ultra again and ended up selling it.

The Ultra was top heavy and looked for ways to go down during slow speed maneuvers. The RK is well balanced and looks for ways to stay upright. The last time I dropped it was 2 or 3 years ago when I hit some small gravel while leaned over and scraping the boards in a key hole exercise. I have never dropped it in competition.

Now, back to leather jackets. I have ordered a digital scale so I can accurately weigh mine. I have been using the bathroom scale method or the luggage scale method. Now I will be able to give an accurate weight for the jackets.

I have seen some older Cleveland police officers bikes. Those cats can ride!. Ive been downtown with temps in the low 20s and they are on their bikes. It is amazing what they do in some of the videos. It is much harder to ride slow than ride fast.

I think the new Rushmore bikes handle themselves. Rode one of my buddies' streetglide. It just ate up any curve that came my way. I would love to buy a new M8. I think the new bikes handle better with each upgrade.

Can't wait to see what some of your jackets weigh!

Yeah man, I have yet to ride the bikes with the M8 and suspension upgrades. Afraid if I do I won’t be able to control myself.

I used to ride with quite a few former and current Moto cops. They can seriously ride. We used to find a parking lot to practice slow speed manuevers and tight turns, etc. I can handle myself very well but some of those cats are magicians. Now I usually ride solo. I prefer it that way.

Jut received a notification that the scale was delivered at my residence. Quite possibly the best news of the day. I cannot figure out if that is cool or pathetic. Many people go out on Thursday night. I will be weighing leather jackets lol.

Man tbh I ignored the weights and marveled at the list. That's a fine line up.

Awesome collection JMax!! I am a little surprised by some of the results. Some of the comp. weight vansons have a 2 lb. difference. The hardcore vs. the comet is very surprising. Also a little surprised with the Bates. I thought their website claimed to use 4oz. leather for their highwayman. I figured it would weigh in at a little more than the vanson highwayman. Thanks for the results!

I think the comet is just a a smaller jacket overall with less material used than the other Vanson but yeah. The comet feels dense and I thought it would be heavier. Same with the Bates Highwaymen. The vest surprised me a bit. It makes me wonder if the Thunderbird jacket is also heavier than most. Last, if weight is important to you one can’t discount the octagon and x-150 leathers.
