Very cool Randal!!
How much does one of those blocks weigh?
They do look very sturdy. Could we see an image of the bottom of the block?
Thank you.

I guess I thought the main appeal of the 3-D printed alternatives were cost. If the cost is the same or higher than wood I’m not sure what advantages they have. I’m sure part (all?) of this is my own ignorance.

I dont think your being ignorant at all. For most part ive only been on here 2 days so really haven't had a chance to show everything but stick around im sure this will all make sense of why 3d printing is a benefit. My thought as a maker is if its costing me $40 in material and I have to the spend 2 day finishing the piece what is the lowest I can charge for that. Ive got great feedback from very respective hat shops in New York and they have never mentioned my prices be high in fact just the opposite. Im now able to do this full time and support my family. I respect if my service isn't for you at the moment but if that changes I will be ready and available.
