Looking forward to monday... This little 3x OR should be here. Not sure if it just needs brushing and cleaning up or if the darker areas have some staining that may need a white gas bathing. Its a 7-1/4 LONG OVAL and its NOT Silverbelly LOL (I have more than one Silverbelly but was in heaven when I found one in a long oval last fall..... I just had to get one in a different color) Description said Beige but it might be darker... we will find out next week!
Interesting side story.... it comes from the Cookeville, Tn area where my Moms family was from. Seller has the same last name as my Grandparents. In that area there were TWO different unrelated Irish Carr Families (one there from about 1780 and mine from 1790s) Both were Ulster Scots who came to America about the time of the Revolutionary War. Family story was that when my Great, great, great, great (?) Grandfather arrived there on the way to whats now northern Alabama, and found another Irish Family already living there unmolested, he figured it a good place to settle in. The seller and I discussed what I know of the family background so were pretty sure were not related, but she does know one of my cousins Small world
