I think I paid $125 for my Stratoliner. It is very, very nice, although not as pristine as one I purchased (in a green or khaki) last year, for around $275. One reason
I asked about the price is that I have felt guilty about
paying so much for a hat and now I can feel much better.

I absolutely understand. One perspective that I have--I paid more for my last pair of shoes than I paid for the OR, and I believe the OR will last longer and give me more pleasure at wearing than the shoes will.

A very good point. One other reason I feel a little guilty about prices of hats is that I have bought so many and I
am likely to continue to buy.
