When I set out to build myself a hat collection I decided I wanted to include all kinds of hats... just because. This morning's choice to take care of some business at my bank is my Stetson top hat.

This morning I'm sporting this Adam 5 fedora in Dove Gray. A bit less formal than the top hat yesterday...which was well received when I walked into my bank yesterday to take care of some business. lol.

I wore my new Stetson No. 1 Quality today. I had to pick up some materials for a project at a small saw mill, it was in a beautiful area! I always thought a 3 1/2" brim was too big for me, but this hat is everything I wanted a vintage western to be.

This morning I'm going with a hat I showed yesterday in the ebay victory thread. The "new" hasn't worn off yet so I wearing it again today. Royal DeLuxe Stetson Twenty Open Road that was pretty beat up looking in the ad but cleaned up nice. The Bickmore foaming hat cleaner turned the thin ribbon hatband to a rose tint but no worries, I kinda like it that way as it sets this one off from my other OR hats. Friday Fake Whippet day! This is a more recent vintage Melton that I converted a couple years
back. I gave a little upturn to the bow work. If you can't find or afford a vintage Whippet, you gotta try and make your own version of one.

In finding the link, I discovered the company took quite a hit during Covid, and may be still struggling. Excellent products. I swear, my coffee tastes better because of the cup!

I have been battling it out with hurricane Helene the last two days. She’s winning.
Power has been out and will likely stay out for a while. I’ve heard rumors it took out one of the main substations and power guys can’t even work on downed power lines until the substation is up. Grrrr.
At least I have a generator. It keeps the fridge and freezers and some lights goin.
The eye went by about 80 miles to the west.
Did some damage in that path.
We got some downed trees, that’s about it. Hardly no rain. Where the eye went over they got gobbs of rain. Atlanta got washed and rinsed!
