Hey everyone,
Picked up this 1950s Hercules jacket recently and wanted to get some advice on how to best take care of it and condition it. The jacket looks great but the leather is definitely on the dry side - especially around the cuffs and edges. It looks even dryer in person.
I want to get some hydration back into the leather without wrecking the patina, but I'm trying to figure out the best approach for something this old
Any thoughts? Should I use something light to preserve the current color, or does this need something heavier to save the dry spots? Also open to any tips on dealing with the dry cuffs without bleeding through to the quilted lining.
Thanks!
