1941? dated double breasted suit jacket

I question the date because the style of the jacket is very '60s. (no lapel buttonholes and high button stance)

Looks like a USN uniform piece that has had the buttons changed out. Look at the pic of the cuff- it looks like there are stitch marks from where there would have been some braid.
