Thanks! I picked it up. If the measurements are correct it should fit me near perfect without alterations. I am not sure black is ideal for my complexion, but if nothing else it will be a very good template for my tailor.

I neither have a matching black waistcoat nor striped morning trousers. Would it be a great faux pas to wear it with worsted grey trousers or flannels? I don't mean for some upper class person but for an average guy in the 30s.

Not a faux pas at all.

I'd say it will look great with grey flannels, or even white trousers in the summer (HBK recently posted some pictures of black jackets worn with white trousers in the 1920s suit thread). I wore just such a combination recently when I went out for a beer with a fellow Lounger.
