Then it goes to newsreel like footage of the Doolitle Raid, launching from the Hornet, and flying toward Japan, while the credits roll.

Most Movies that came into my mind where already mentioned. Watchmen was the first that came to my mind. Also like the Dawn Of The Dead intro with the Johnny Cash soundtrack but it wouldn't be very popular in the FL I think.

George Romero is a genius and can do no wrogn in my book. I actually also enjoyed the remakes of his zombie films too; Tom Savini's take on Night was intersting in that it took the social commentary in a different direction (the lone female survivor in the farmhouse replacing the black gentleman of the first, the zombie 'hunting' and 'sport' being had with them by the rednecks at the end). The Dawn remake had maybe less to say in that respect, but it was nonetheless a great zombie film. I specially loved that the ending was completely different if you stayed to watch the credits....

Romero's titles were always great. Now he has, with Diary, given his take on the modern User Generated Content-based media, I would love to see him do a take on nostalgia by producing a zombie film set in the past....

I just couldn't get into it myself.... I don't know how fair an analysis this is, but it seemed a bit self-conciously 'controversial' to me. That said, anything which riles the Daily Mail I have to give some creedance to.... lol
